NSW Member Alert – NCC Version Transitional Provisions

An important member alert has been sent to members in NSW / ACT advising of an issue with assignment of the correct version of the NCC BCA to projects during the transition period that applies in NSW under the Environmental Planning and Assessment (Development Certification and Fire Safety) Amendment (Construction Certificates) Regulation 2023. 

The version of the NCC has to be considered in respect of the transitional provisions that apply from 3 February 2023 and from that date forward, it is very unlikely that BCA 2019.1 can apply.

Members were alerted to the particulars of the new requirements on 30 January and again on 24 February 2023 and are encouraged to look closely at the transitional provisions that now apply.
