It has come to the attention of AIBS that subscription providers to NCC referenced documents may be inadvertently providing access to versions of documents that are not referenced.

AIBS recommends that members pay careful attention to ensure that the version of any referenced document they are accessing via a subscription that is intended to provide access to referenced documents is accurately doing this.

It is important to not only confirm the correct year of edition is supplied but also that the amendments incorporated in the edition supplied are also referenced.

For example, AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 has an amendment which was published on 5 May 2023 which has been incorporated in referenced set documents for some subscription providers. Whilst the 2021 edition was called up in NCC 2022 from 1 May 2023, the amendment is not.

AIBS has alerted Standards Australia about this issue and looks forward to subscription services correcting any issues quickly.
